John's expertise in corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, and the sciences, combined with Mike's expertise in market research, strategic planning, and commercial execution, have once again come together to launch Senphonix. Dr. Grant
John is a proven leader in corporate development, healthcare investment, and advanced materials innovation, with a track record of driving transformational growth through strategic partnerships, fundraising, and M&A. As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Senphonix, he leads investor relations, corporate alliances, and financial strategy, ensuring the company is positioned to scale rapidly and deliver cutting-edge technologies that improve patient outcomes and healthcare system performance.
During his 30+ year career at 3M, John held senior global leadership roles in strategy, business development, manufacturing operations, and M&A, where he led transactions valued up to $1.1 billion across healthcare, life sciences, advanced materials, and industrial technologies. He is also a seasoned angel investor and advisor, actively involved with Tech Coast Angels, Gopher Angels, and several private equity and venture funds, including leadership roles on investment committees and multiple board appointments. His ability to align innovation with market adoption and capital strategy makes him a driving force behind Senphonix’s growth and long-term value creation.
John holds a PhD and Master's in Physical Chemistry from Northwestern University, an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, and he has completed executive education at Northwestern University, Caltech, and the University of Minnesota. A recognized expert in advanced materials and specialty polymers, John is actively involved in the development and scale-up of Senphonix’s proprietary biosignals monitoring sleeve, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, durability, and manufacturability as it enters clinical use.

Mr. Haldane
Mike is a senior executive with deep expertise in market research, strategic planning, commercial execution, and operations, with a proven track record of creating and launching new products and businesses across the healthcare and technology sectors. As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Senphonix, Mike leads the company’s commercial strategy, ensuring technologies are successfully brought to market, while delivering on the company’s mission to improve patient and healthcare system outcomes.
Mike’s expertise in product development, financial modeling, and technology-enabled business models was shaped through leadership roles at Intel, 3M, Provation Medical, and Fortive, among others. As an example, at Provation Medical, Mike served as Vice President and General Manager, where he led the launch of Provation Order Sets and Provation Capital, which quadrupled Provation's revenue over a five-year period and enabled numerous "Best in Klas" awards. Mike's leadership has driven sustained growth across markets in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, particularly with as-a-service business models.
Mike holds an MBA in General Management and a Bachelor of Science in Business/Marketing (California State University-Chico). He's authored and co-authored a number of white papers, including Start with Research, The Basics of Strategy, Executing to Win, and others. Mike's ability to scale businesses, build teams, optimize operations, and deliver innovative, financially sound solutions is essential to Senphonix’s success and long-term industry leadership.

Dr. Koppel
Mark is a seasoned physician executive and expert in healthcare technology, with deep expertise in healthcare startups, clinical sales, and building a foundation for growth. As a Clinical Affairs Consultant for Senphonix, Mark ensures that the company’s technologies meet the highest standards of clinical efficacy, regulatory compliance, and healthcare system integration, supporting the successful adoption of its innovations in real-world care environments.
Mark has held senior leadership roles at GE Healthcare, Exact Sciences, PENTAX Medical, Excel Medical, and Wolters Kluwer, where he directed medical affairs teams, clinical research programs, and strategic engagement to support the launch and growth of advanced healthcare technologies. His work in clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and medical communications has consistently driven the successful commercialization and adoption of novel MedTech solutions across a variety of care settings.
Mark holds both an MD from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and a JD from the University of Arkansas School of Law, providing a rare combination of clinical and legal expertise. Chad is an expert in product development, cloud architecture, Internet of Things (IoT) and manufacturing operations, with extensive experience in scaling technology solutions, from concept to commercialization. As a Product Management Consultant for Senphonix, Chad ensures the company’s biosignals monitoring system is manufacturable, reliable, and seamlessly integrates into healthcare environments to support continuous, clinician-friendly patient monitoring.
Chad has held leadership roles involving medical devices, software, and IoT, where he has driven product roadmaps, software-enabled healthcare solutions, and large-scale manufacturing transitions. His work at Boston Scientific, Phillips-Medisize, and Silicon Graphics has consistently focused on launching and scaling high-impact hardware and software solutions, with a particular emphasis on user-centered design, operational efficiency, and commercial readiness.
Chad holds an MBA in Entrepreneurial Management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Scott is a healthcare operations and system integration expert with extensive experience in clinical service line management, regulatory compliance, and health system strategy. As a Healthcare Policy Consultant for Senphonix, Scott provides insights into workflow integration, provider adoption, and healthcare system efficiency, ensuring Senphonix’s technology is practical, scalable, and impactful in real-world clinical settings.
Scott has held executive leadership roles in major health systems and specialty clinics, including CEO of St. Paul Eye Clinic, CEO of Chippewa Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Clinic, and Executive Director of Musculoskeletal Services at M Health Fairview. Scott has also worked as a healthcare consultant for Deloitte and currently serves as Adjunct Professor teaching healthcare policy at the University of St. Thomas. His experience leading large-scale healthcare operations and strategic service line growth allows Senphonix to align its technology with health system needs and patient care priorities.

Dr. Gutruf
Philipp is a leading innovator in wireless bioelectronics, biosymbiotic devices, and continuous biosignal monitoring, with a global reputation of advancing the science of non-invasive medical technologies. As a Med Device Technology Consultant for Senphonix, he provides expert guidance on bio-integrated sensors, neural interfaces, and remote patient monitoring systems, ensuring the company’s solutions remain at the forefront of medical technology and are designed for continuous, seamless integration into patient care.
An Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Arizona, Philipp directs the Gutruf Lab, where his team has expertise in bioelectronics and wireless power transfer, and works on devices enabling seamless integration with the body and 24/7 biosignals collection without the need for manual recharging, straps, or adhesives. His research has been published in journals such as Nature Biomedical Engineering, Nature Electronics, Science Advances, Nature Communications, Chemical Reviews, ACS Nano, and PNAS, and he is a named inventor on multiple patents for implantable and wearable bioelectronics. Philipp’s work has received numerous accolades, including recognition as a 2024 da Vinci Fellow and Craig M Berge Faculty fellow, and acknowledgements in multiple journals for outstanding papers and Raising Stars in research. Philipp's breakthroughs in neural interfaces, osseosurface electronics, spinal cord stimulation, long-range biosignal transmission, and biosymbiotic wearables have pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in patient monitoring and neuromodulation. Philipp holds a PhD in Electronics from RMIT University and a Bachelor of Science in Sensor Technology from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.
